Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese and Oriental philosophy that studies the interaction between man and its environment.
The words literally mean Wind (Feng ) and Water (Shui), two elements that greatly influence life on earth and which we cannot do without. The wind brings the clouds that bring the life-giving water. The force that brings us these elements is the “Chi”, the life-giving energy.
Subconsciously we are greatly influenced by our surroundings for our feelings of safety, wellness, happiness and good fortune. Feng Shui creates awareness of these influences and to put it to our benefit. It helps create a better balance in our surroundings so that we find it easier to relax and recharge our batteries.
Feng Shui looks at the flow of energy in a given space or building by using the teachings of the 5-element and the interaction between Yin and Yang . The goal is harmonizing the space to recreate balance and thus enabling the energy (Chi) to flow freely. The user will feel supported in many aspects of one’s life by this energy. This support translates itself by a greater feeling of wellbeing and more vitality.
The most important instrument for a Feng Shui analysis of the home or workspace is the floorplan. The floorplan is studied with the aid of a Bagua. This instrument allows to diagnose the energy flow in the building.
For a private home or personal workspace Nine Star Ki is used. This ancient science links the person to the space and shows how the surroundings and the person interact. This allows to give an even more personalised and custom-made Feng Shui advice.
Feng Shui can be applied to all spaces where people live, work, recreate and interact. Some even compare it to treating people’s space with an acupuncture treatment.
